Infusing grandeur into otherwise drab Mondays with five things/ideas/events for the week:

I.  Despite a few scattered showers over the weekend, the sunshine is back to stay - which put me in the mood for light dinner fare this week. One of my absolute favorite fish recipes is Herb Roasted Salmon - so delicious and palatably complex you’ll have no idea you’re actually eating healthy food. All that you have to do is chop fresh herbs and lemon, then drown the fish in dry white wine and roast. I like to throw in halved cherry tomatoes to roast with the salmon for a side, but dutch baby potatoes are a little naughtier and work just as well.

II.  The Table + Teaspoon showroom is almost finished!  After installing desks in the office portion of the space on Friday, I’m a couple of weeks away from wrapping up construction and getting down to actual business. To say that I’m excited is an understatement…  We will be unveiling the revamped T&T site with the new concept very soon (I know I haven’t been forthcoming about this, but I had to wait until everything was completely perfect before divulging). Please mark your calendars for our launch party Wednesday, June 1st. I hope to see all of your beautiful faces there!

III.  Whether you have rambunctious children, rowdy guests, or you’re like me and can’t get enough redesign - I have fantastic news: The Kitchen Toekick. I didn’t even know that such a darling/brilliant device existed until coming upon this Apartment Therapy article, but now I’m intrigued by the concept. For function’s sake, a toekick area is a space between the floor and your cabinets that allows your feet to fit underneath without scuffing up your kitchen. The design element is where the fun comes in - use paint, metal, tile, wood, or pegboard to trim your toekick for a stylish (and unexpected) addition to your space.

IV.  Over the weekend, I had the privilege of co-chairing the ArtPoint Oscar de la Renta exhibit closing gala at the de Young Museum. To play on the youthful nature of our organization, we decided on a punk couture aesthetic for attire and decor. Though I had visions of studding my gown with gold spikes, I ran out of time and had to settle on slightly subversive accoutrement instead. After selecting the obvious ODLR ring, I took a nod from Bella Hadid’s Met Gala look and picked up two midi rings from Jest Jewels. Now I’m completely obsessed with the subtle jewelry trend. Find similar options here and here.

V.  With Gwyneth Paltrow’s GOOP pop-up market launching in Frank Lloyd Wright’s gorgeous Maiden Lane space, I took a few minutes to peruse her blog this morning. Much to my surprise, Gwynnie’s latest issue focuses entirely on sex. The celeb curated enlightening articles and products relating to the elusive female orgasm, organic lube made from yams - inspired by Netflix’s hit series Grace and Frankie, pelvic floor strengthening devices, and overcoming sexual trauma. While I don’t always agree with G.P.’s goopy advice, I have to say that this post was a brave and enlightening contribution to the internet.

Have a wonderful week!  xx tt
