Infusing grandeur into otherwise drab Monday mornings with five things/ideas/events for the week:
I. Impress your 49ers football fanatic friends on Sunday by bringing these delicious deviled eggs to the party. Based on the much-lauded Park Tavern version, these eggs up the ante with the addition of jalapenos, bacon, and a hint of black truffle oil. Go Niners!!!
II. A month ago, I posted about the chic business cards that I ordered from Minted. I’ve quickly run into the dilemma of what to keep them in so that they don’t become tattered. When I found this adorable gilded card holder for under $10, I was instantly smitten.
III. I’m ashamed to admit that on occasion I’ve been reduced to tears when I couldn’t find a wine bottle opener… I even bought a cheap opener to keep in my handbag, but had to forfeit it at airport security. You can imagine my relief when I happened upon this genius uncorking trick that requires only a shoe and a wall. You can thank me later.
IV. Rue Magazine is my go-to for decor suggestions - if you haven’t checked out the online periodical, clear your afternoon because you will be instantly addicted. The magazine recently did a feature on how to make small rooms feel bigger. I loved the suggestion of an oversized mirror to lend the illusion of more space. Here is my favorite leaner mirror from Z Gallerie.
V. I recently caught up with an old friend in town for the holidays over brunch, and couldn’t help but notice her rose gold cuff. My friend explained that the bracelet was a Christmas gift from her parents, featuring the coordinates for where she was born - Paris. I immediately went home and looked up the online shop that creates the unique jewelry and began daydreaming of potential coordinates for my future bangles.
Have a wonderful week! xx tt
