Infusing grandeur into otherwise drab Monday mornings with five things/ideas/events for the week:
I. With football mania decidedly upon us, many are left wondering what to make to impress and nourish guests during watch-parties. After finding this photograph on Pinterest, I’ve decided to throw a party just so that I can order these adorable beer sampling mugs and make miniature versions of my blue cheese burgers.
II. If you are a Kelly Wearstler devotee (like yours truly), you will surely share in my enthusiasm for Z Gallerie’s new line of reproductions. Walking by the Union Street location over the weekend, I did a double take when I spotted knock-offs of Wearstler's bronze kaleidoscope and brass knot sculpture. At an outrageously small fraction of the price, you can pick up both the knot and the kaleidoscope to add playful dimension to your coffee table.
III. Indian Summer this month in San Francisco requires crisp libations to stay cool. I’ve been making pitchers of this delicious Blackberry Bourbon Smash cocktail, made extra refreshing by sprigs of fresh mint. Scroll to the bottom of the link for the recipe!
IV. Some friends are throwing their annual end of summer pool party this weekend, which obviously necessitates the purchase of a new bikini. Perusing my go-to online shops, I realized that this is the perfect time to pick up a few suits and cover-ups now that swim season is coming to a close. Pop over to Shopbop for pages of gorgeous items on sale, including this fun piece that I selected!
V. Did you know that the newly inaugurated eastern span of the Bay Bridge features a cyclist/pedestrian path?! I didn’t until this weekend, when a friend suggested we swap our ritual Golden Gate bridge walk for the new bridge. The views are stunning, and it’s only a matter of time before food carts catch on to make this popular attraction the most glorious hot-spot in the Bay!
Have a wonderful week!! xx tt
