Infusing grandeur into otherwise drab Monday mornings with five things/ideas/events for the week:

I. I just snapped up these gorgeous cabochon earrings by Oscar de la Renta from the Rent the Runway sale.  Once a year, the lifesaving clothing rental site sheds its extras at heavily reduced prices.  Gorgeous gowns, chic clutches, and brilliant baubles are all featured - hurry over before they sell out!

II.  Join me this Wednesday for an evening celebrating four of San Francisco’s finest young professional boards!  Symphonix (symphony), Art Point (de Young/Legion of Honor), Bravo (opera), and Encore (ballet) are joining forces to put on the Summer of the Arts bash at the Julia Morgan Ballroom.  Meet new people, partake in the open bar, nosh on delicious nibbles, and enjoy reduced membership rates at all four organizations.

III.  Last night I popped by a friend’s birthday party at Wayfare Tavern, and was equally delighted and perplexed by the drink of the evening - a carrot margarita.  Much more fun than the carrot juice found in ubiquitous cleanses, try this recipe when you become bored with your liquid diet: (makes four) 1 cup tequila, 1 cup carrot juice, ¼ cup lime juice - shake over ice and serve with a mini-carrot garnish.  Sidenote: the restaurant’s pool room is perfect for your next private party.

IV.  One of my sweetest friends sent me this photo over the weekend.  She purchased a couple of the taxidermy heads that I featured a few months ago, and combined them with photographs from her travels to create this fabulous display in her apartment.  I love that every picture has a story behind it!  Check out this guide on how to create your own art wall.

V.  I can’t even begin to tell you how fantastic this herb roasted salmon tastes…  The perfect summer dish combines dill, scallions, and parsley with lemon and dry white wine to create an invigorating take on traditional baked salmon.  The best part is that the dish takes about thirty minutes from start to finish!

Have a wonderful week!!  xx tt
