Infusing grandeur into otherwise drab Monday mornings with five things/ideas/events for the week:
I. When I moved into my apartment, I painted my entire living room three times before I was satisfied with the shade of gray. Since then, I’ve also painted my bathroom and dining room gray. Before my entire place becomes a play on the salacious book, I decided to seek out non-paint options for the other rooms. I found this magic temporary wallpaper (perfect for renters).
II. I fortuitously came across this print while perusing Joel Madden’s Instagram account (no I’m not a Good Charlotte fanatic, I was looking for a specific photo of his ridiculously chic wife). After a little internet research, I found the name of the art “Reach for the Moon” and a link to place orders. Check out the Flying Mouse website for more fun prints.
III. Scorching temperatures call for chilled libations. This rosemary lemonade looks like the perfect beverage to keep you cool poolside this month. I’ll be heeding the blogger’s advice, and adding a splash of bourbon to mine.
IV. Kick-off America’s birthday tomorrow at the hottest new bar in town!! Symphonix is throwing a party at Redford (the old Ambassador space and latest venture by Justin Rojas, Adam Snyder, and Hugo Gamboa). Open bar for bubbles/wine and yummy bites. Complimentary for Symphonix members, or $40 at the door. See all of your beautiful faces there!
V. While we’re on the topic of the Fourth of July, let’s discuss what we’re making for the holiday. I’ll be grilling this decadently delicious truffle burger. Similar to Umami’s much-lauded version, the black truffle aoili paired with pecorino tartufato cheese is an epic combination.
Have a wonderful week!! xx tt
