Infusing grandeur into otherwise drab Monday mornings with five things/ideas/events for the week:
I. It was love at first site the second I saw these adorable brussels sprout topiaries. As I’ve mentioned a few times, I am a topiary fanatic - and this fresh take on the classic is perfect for feeding my addiction. Recreate for your next luncheon by placing a topiary foam in a soup tureen, then put a sprout on one end of a long metal wire, and pierce the foam with the other end. Repeat until all of the foam is covered.
II. In order to properly welcome the first day of summer this week, I’ll be making these refreshing sweet bourbon cocktails. Lemon, bourbon, and a drizzle of honey over ice make these libations the perfect antidote to blistering sunny days.
III. The thought of laundry doesn't usually elicit a feeling of modern chic. But that’s exactly what this perfect hamper does! The clean white and gray lines make doing this mundane chore so much more desirable.
IV. With less than three weeks left until Fourth of July, it’s time to finish putting together your plans for the best holiday of the season! Celebrate your patriotism with this darling bandeau bikini in red, white, and blue! Appropriately priced, so that revelers won’t be heartbroken if you spill barbecue or lose it in the lake…
V. 7x7 Magazine recently revealed its compilation of the best new places to brunch in San Francisco. Topping the list of delicious menu additions is Bluestem’s Bourbon Rosewater French Toast (see drool-worthy pic above). Sunday Funday is looking a bit sweeter!
Have a wonderful week!! xx tt
