Infusing grandeur into otherwise drab Monday mornings with five things/ideas/events for the week:

I.  It’s the best day of the year!!  National Top Gun Day.  I’m sure you’ve already planned something special to commemorate the holiday, but if not - do one or more of the following: 1. speak only in Top Gun quotes (your boss will LOVE this), 2. rock sexy aviators, 3. serenade a hot chick/dude with your best rendition of “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling,” 4. play topless volleyball in tight jeans, 5. borrow an F-14 from your nearest naval base and pretend you’re a fighter pilot!

II.  My favorite hike in the Bay Area is just over the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin.  If you haven’t checked it out (or if you are planning your next visit to San Francisco) you must!  An off-shoot of the Marin Headlands, Tennessee Valley is a 3-mile loop-hike, culminating in a breath-taking beach.  Stop by Comforts in San Anselmo for picnic-fare before your adventure.

III.  I’m obsessed with this oak coffee table from Wisteria.  A sucker for anything involving trays, this piece caught my eye over the weekend.  The clean lines and weathered wood will anchor my otherwise contemporary living room decor.

IV.  Though I’ve been familiar with fashion icon Lauren Santo Domingo’s brainchild, Moda Operandi, since its inception - I haven’t purchased anything until today.  The company offers members the ability to preorder items from the runway (like an online trunkshow).  Typically, the merchandise is a bit above my payscale, but I was thrilled to find these stunning aquamarine earrings by Ek Thongprasert with an affordable price-tag.  They will be perfect for the summer wedding circuit.

V.  With a busy week ahead (Symphony Spring Gala and my first trip to Vegas!!) I made a big batch of crock-pot al pastor last night to turn into tacos, top salads, and throw into breakfast eggs. The versatility and minimal effort required to produce this spicy-sweet pork recipe make it an excellent weekday go-to.

Have a wonderful week!!  xx tt
