Infusing grandeur into otherwise drab Monday mornings with five things/ideas/events for the week:

I.  With warmer weather just around the corner, I placed my order for this luxe locket spliced two-piece by Sydney-based designer Zimmerman.  The composition of femme-floral and daring deep-v cut create the perfect summer suit.

II.  I’m a sucker for a black and white stripe.  After discovering these paper lanterns, I can’t wait to find an excuse to throw a party featuring these effortlessly stylish decorations.  I plan to pair them with these adorable paper straws and mylar balloons!

III.  Yesterday for Easter Sunday, I made brunch for my family.  I prepared the following menu: popovers with meyer lemon butter, eggs en cocotte, maple candied bacon, ricotta pancakes with olallieberry chutney, french press, and blackberry bourbon iced teas.

At the last minute, I decided to swap the meyer lemon butter for homemade lemon curd.  It’s quite simple to make, and never fails to impress guests!

IV.  My latest addiction is a simplified breakfast burrito that I make for myself every morning.  The wrap consists of a whole wheat tortilla that I leave over a burner to blacken the edges for a moment, two fried eggs, and Sriracha.  So easy, so delicious.  But now that I’ve learned Sriracha salt exists, I’ll be swapping the sauce for its chicer counterpart.

V.  There is nothing that makes me happier than gazing at the stars on a clear evening.  As a child, my father took me to the Chabot Space & Science Center in the Oakland Hills to point out planets and constellations.  I’ll be heading back to explore the observatories after dark this weekend.  Make a reservation by calling (510) 336-7373.

Have a wonderful week!!  xx tt
