Infusing grandeur into otherwise drab Monday mornings with five things/ideas/events for the week:
I. The bourbon aficionado in me was delighted to stumble upon this square decanter at Pottery Barn. I paired it with my black and white tool-set to create a makeshift bar atop my coffee table.
II. I created another paper runner for Thanksgiving - perfect for multiple messy courses and multiple family members imbibing multiple glasses of cabernet sauvignon. My guests embraced the paper element by writing notes to each other during dinner!
III. To kick off the holidays I picked up several of these glittered feathers from West Elm to stuff into the branches of my douglas fir. The feathers add subtle dimension, and offer an alternative to traditional spherical ornaments.
IV. The most fun group in the city is throwing its first party of the year! The San Francisco Symphony’s young professionals board will be mingling over bites, bubbles, and vino from 6:30-8:30PM this Wednesday at Alibi (complimentary for members or $40 at the door).
V. Bringing a little outdoors into my apartment with this whimsical spathiphyllum plant. Commonly known as the “peace lily” this plant is anything but peaceful. I was surprised (and slightly thrilled) to learn that it’s toxic when ingested.
